Today I am an opera singer, director and university teacher by profession. I started learning German at the Goethe Language Center in Xi'an. After learning German for a year there, I went to Germany to continue my music studies. The Goethe Language Learning Center in Xi'an gave me a solid foundation for the German language, which made my life and studies in Germany much easier. At the Goethe-Language Learning Center they not only focus on grammar but also on speaking, which was a big help for me. When I came to Germany for the first time, I was able to directly apply the language skills I had acquired in one-to-one lessons with professors. After my studies in Germany I studied opera in Vienna, Austria. 6 years of studying in Germany and Austria are now over and I am still grateful for the knowledge and the happy learning atmosphere that the Goethe Language Center Xi'an gave me.

I would also like to thank Goethe-Language Learning Center Xi'an for giving me the opportunity to practice my German in everyday life by organizing events for the language learning center with Konstantin, a German volunteer. You can't learn a language in a day, and it's hard to stick with it for long if you're just trying to get good grades. The Goethe Language Learning Center in Xi'an broke down my reservations about the German language and showed me that learning German is fun. The entertaining and effective teaching method made me want to gain a deeper understanding of the German language and culture. That helped me a lot with my future master’s degree in Germany. I have now completed my studies and live and work in Munich.
