The Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1 requires very basic language skills. The exam corresponds to the first level (A1) on the six-level competence scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

If you need to cancel the exam due to illness, a medical certificate must be provided immediately. Rescheduling or refunding the exam fee will be at our discretion and subject to a processing fee of 25 percent of the exam fee.
