Our guest WEI Jiale, born in Erenhot, Inner Mongolia in 1997, graduated from the Department of Experimental Art at Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts. Jiale has been studying at the Department of Fine Arts at Hochschule für Künste Bremen in Germany under the supervision of Prof. Rosa Barba since 2021 and works mainly with installation, documentary film and photography. He will share his application and study experiences and answer your questions during our online exchange.

My main concern is to set in motion enduring and dynamic working processes and to develop strategies, which serve to open up individual perspectives and career paths aimed far beyond the university degree. Conceptual approaches and intense group discussions are laid out to support the personal development of the single students through a collective experience, and to train the critical mind to suggest solutions and transpositions from themes that surround us from various perspectives.“
