Freelance German Teachers at the SISU Goethe-Language Learning Center in Chongqing

The Goethe Language Learning Center at Sichuan International Studies University in Chongqing is a cooperation between the Goethe-Institut and Sichuan International Studies University (SISU). We offer German language courses and the Goethe-Institut’s official Goethe-Zertifikat examinations. To support our team, we are seeking dedicated freelance teachers in the field of German as a Foreign Language (DaF).

 

Candidate Profile:

If you are interested in this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • A university degree, preferably in German as a Foreign Language (DaF), German Studies, or Linguistics
  • Good knowledge of German (at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
  • Experience in teaching group lessons in German as a Foreign Language (DaF), ideally at various levels
  • Methodological and didactic expertise in the field of German as a Foreign Language (DaF)
  • Familiarity with learner-centered and activity-oriented teaching methods
  • Willingness to undergo further training in the Goethe-Institut’s teaching methodology, to observe courses (also online), and to complete a qualification phase if you lack prior experience
  • Intercultural awareness
  • Desirable: Previous extended stay in Germany
  • Teamwork skills
