The dates for tutorials and Goethe exams at Goethe-Jinchuang Shanghai in June and July 2025 have been set. Please register for our “tutorials and exams” via our WeChat Mini Program at the times indicated further down in this announcement.
A quick reminder: we have improved the portfolio of the Goethe exams we offer for all levels of Goethe certificates in Shanghai! The exams are now presented under the new title of “tutorial and exam: Goethe-Zertifikat xx“. While the title has been adjusted, the main content has essentially remained the same: participants will take the desired exam and be issued certificates by the Goethe-Institut after passing the exam. However, the offer now also includes an additional 60 minute tutorial on the form and structure of the exam at no extra cost. That is why the new tutorial and exam format includes two dates – the one of the 60 minute tutorial course and the exam date itself. Please note both dates included in this concept when registering for your “tutorial and exam: Goethe-Zertifikat xx”. The tutorial part will be taught online via Tencent software a couple of days before the corresponding Goethe-Zertifikat takes place offline as before.
The following table shows our planned schedule for both tutorials and the corresponding Goethe certificates exam dates for June and July 2025 (please be aware that we can only accept registrations from adult persons, 18 years of age or older).
Registration
→ External candidates: Download and register in our Mini Program, then log in and complete your profile. You’ll find the “Registration Guide” under Files.
→ If you tap Register before enrollment opens, you’ll see “Registration Not Open Yet.”
→ Once enrollment is live, External candidates can sign up via Courses – Goethe Exams. When a session is full, the system will show “Fully Booked.” Don’t worry—spots often reopen when registrations aren’t confirmed by the payment deadline. Please check back regularly if you see “Fully Booked.”
→ We’ll email your next steps within 3 working days of receiving your registration. Then open the Mini Program, go to Me ➤ My Tutorials & Exams to check your status. When you see “Pending Payment,” tap it to upload materials and choose your payment method.
- Required uploads: Front & back of your ID card or two copies of your passport photo page (system requires two pages; you may upload the same scan twice).
- Electronically sign the Terms & Conditions and the Declaration of Data Consent.
- Pay the exam fee and provide invoice details (if none provided, invoice will be issued in your name). Electronic invoices are sent via SMS link (Baiwang Jin Sui Yun) in the second week after payment—please download promptly. If you don’t receive it, contact us.
- Payment methods (choose one): WeChat Pay (recommended) • On-site payment • Bank transfer. We will confirm your spot by email within 2 working days of payment.
Please note: If payment isn’t completed within 2 working days of the “Pending Payment” notice, your spot will be released. Slots may reopen—especially about 10 working days before the exam—so please refresh the Mini Program if you’re still seeking a seat. On-site payers must visit 6/F, Block A, 610 Hengfeng Road (Mon–Fri, 9:00–17:30) within the 2-day window to complete payment.
Important Notes
◇Candidates may only register for one tutorial/exam on the same CEFR level (if we offer multiple tutorial exams on that level), and if participants are still waiting for the results of a previously taken exam at Goethe-Jinchuang they may not register for the new tutorial/exams on the same CEFR level of the previously taken exam until the previous results have been released.
◇Please, read the “Terms and Conditions” carefully and confirm them.
◇On the website of Goethe-Institute https://www.goethe.de/en/spr/prf.html you can find a set of model exercises and two sets of practice exercises, exam guidelines, terms and conditions for exam administration, supplement to the terms and conditions for exam administration: exam participants with special needs, information for exam candidates with special needs, manual Examination goals and test description and glossary.

Note: The internal price is limited to one time only. Only students currently enrolled in one of the language classes at the Goethe language learning center enjoy the preferential “internal price” for Goethe-exams in Shanghai. General language classes must include a minimum of 80 units, private classes at least 20 units.
