We are thrilled to announce an exciting intercultural event titled “What we do on New Year’s Eve: A Cultural Exchange!” This event will explore some of the fascinating New Year’s Eve customs from both Chinese and German cultures, featuring delicious jiaozi making as well as the oddball but beloved sketch “Dinner for One.”
What to Expect:
· Hands-On Jiaozi Workshop: Learn to make traditional Chinese dumplings.
· Cultural Presentations: Discover the significance of jiaozi and the humor in “Dinner for One.”
· Interactive Activities: Engage in hands-on New Year’s traditions and discussions with fellow participants.
Who Can Join?
This event is open to current students at Goethe-Jinchuang, their families, and anybody interested in cultural exchange-age 18 and above. Whether you’re a student of German, a food lover, or just curious about different traditions around welcoming a New Year, we welcome you!
