Our in-house examination center offers all Goethe certificates for adults, from A1 to C2, at regular intervals. These language certificates are internationally recognized and useful, e.g. when applying at a university in Germany and with your employer as well as with German authorities.

Our Goethe-Jinchuang Language Learning Centre Shanghai

The Goethe-Jinchuang Language Centre was founded with the assistance of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai. Technical assistance and quality control lie with the Goethe Institute, which gave its advice and expertise in developing the course and exam structure, and continually provides advanced teacher’s training. Our Facilities

Goethe-Jinchuang operates in 3 locations in the center of Shanghai (Jingan District): in Hengfeng Lu with the headquarters of the administration and the language course office as well as 3 classrooms. In the Jing'an's community college in Jiaozhou Lu we are using 6 additional classrooms. And we have also been running our third facility in Changde Lu (also in Jing'an district) with a total of 4 additional classrooms since February 2018. All three facilities are now located in a single district.

About us

The Goethe-Jinchuang Language Center in Shanghai was founded in late 2007 as a cooperation project between the Goethe-Institut China and the Jing'an district education department. The joint objective is and was to facilitate German language learning according to the quality standards for partner institutions of the Goethe-Institut
